Hard to envision a filter-feeding pterosaur _not_ getting his feet wet. And 
then there are all those manus only prints which seem to indicate floating and 
poling, bottom-peckers.

Not that I am a proponent of the "deep-chord" wing model, but it is conceivable 
they never waded. Some shorebirds
don't deal with relatively deep water and most are either very small and it 
wouldn't matter much, or very large,
and wouldn't matter much, perhaps.
