New papers
Darren Naish has asked me to post some exciting news.
A paper has been released in Nature (Vol. 392) about Shuvuuia deserti, a
new genus belonging to the subfamily Mononykinae and related to
Parvicursor. The skull is beautifully preserved and has many teeth (similar
to Mononykus).
Also, Padian and Chiappe have released 'The Origin and Early Evolution of
Birds' (Biological Reviews Vol. 73, pages 1 to 42), the ultimate
evolutionary summary of most new protoavian and avian discoveries.
Recommended.
Unfortunately neither Protarcheopteryx or Rahona omstromi could make it to
the summary.
