If your interpretation is correct, then Oviraptor would *have* to feed 
head upside down. The arrangement that flamingos have of their 
filter-feeding apparatus makes it a necessity that they feed that way. 
Now, unless Oviraptor used its crest as a shovel for digging up little 
bugs, the crest would get in the way if Oviraptor was a filter-feeder. 
But, I must say, this is a very good idea.
