Re: End-K carbon



A quick check shows no oilfields or sedimentary
basins/source rocks in the area of the Chicxlub
impact.  The nearest oilfields are in Neogene
structures.  A follow-up study might find
residual hydrocarbons in the carbonate breccia
which is believed to have been created by the
impact.
