I know... but I think Linnaeus didn't mean anything specific by putting an
animal into a certain place in his lists. The book begins with *Homo
sapiens*, hardly a very typical mammal. (And I don't know why he made
*Vultur gryphus* the type species, respectively the first listed one, of
*Vultur*...)
