Interestingly enough, my copy of The Making of The Lost World indicates
that Spielberg had intially wanted a scene in which Pteranodons attack
the chopper that rescues the group, but apparently Jack Horner talked
him out of it saying that it would not be something that a Pteranodon
would do; apparently for TLW, an attempt to be somewhat accurate was
made.
