I've seen mega-, giga- and grandfamilies, but what is a parafamily?

I've seen this both as a subjective synonym of *Pterodactylus* and (on some
websites) as an azhdarchid. What arguments are there for these referrals, or
is a paper in the works (I actually hope so)?

I assume the last author is Armand de RicqlÃs?
