Yes, I was also told this by Earthwatch last year--3 T. rex were found.

The article in Smithsonian  (pp. 50, 52) says:

"The 'boot' of the pubis was twice the size of that found in other 
_T. rexes_ (sic). The tail vertebrae were also huge.  The skull, however, 
was a normal size.  Were there three _T. rexes_ (sic) here?  Rigby had 
begun to wonder out loud whether his colossal dinosaur was not
after all a _T. rex_, but perhaps some new species never before
identified."

Another interesting tid-bit in the article (p. 52):

"...he claims to have unearthed dinosaur fossils from strata more
recent than the Cretaceous-Tertiary divide,..."
