Re: Sinosauropteryx and Compsognathus manus



The following is a retraction that I sent days ago, but which -- due to
technical difficulties -- didn't appear on the list at that time...

 I wrote:

 Wrong again, Ralph.  Although the article closely compares the two
animals,
 and points out similarities in the manus for the two genera, the authors
 don't explicitly state that _Compsognathus_ had a tridactyl manus.  One
might assume that this would be their point of view, but you shouldn't go
around putting words into other people's mouths
