I am a high school student who is doing a project to see whether
dinosaurs were more likely to have evolved into modern birds or
reptiles. I am in the research portion of the project and would
appreciate the input of anyone on the subject, no matter what your point
of view. I can be reached at vdcosta@pfizer.com

I think that dinosaurs are a sister group of the bird's ancestors.
They had no descendance. In addition, I think that dinosaurs in the wide
sense of the term are a polyphyletic group.

Absolutely. There is no evidence that shows conclusively that birds are
"descended" from dinosaurs. Any paleontologist who sez that they are is a
wishful thinker.
