Apologies for the cross-posting, but I just wanted to remind the students on
these lists that the deadline for the SVP travel grant is approaching.
Application forms are available at:
http://www.vertpaleo.org/awards/student_travel_grant.htm
Information (copied from this site) is as follows:
**********************
To encourage student participation in the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology
annual meeting, the Development and Executive Committees are pleased to
announce initiation of the Student Member Travel grant program beginning
with the 2006 SVP Annual Meeting in Ottawa, Canada. We plan to expand the
Student Travel grant program in subsequent years and to develop an endowment
to fund grants.
The SVP has committed funds from the 2005 auction proceeds for Student
Member Travel Grants. Approximately 15 awards will be made for the 2006
meeting. Recipients are only eligible to receive a travel grant once. These
grants are provided to defray the cost of travel and are awarded based on
merit and need.
The monetary awards for travel will be $300 for students from the United
States and Canada and $500 for those coming from outside the United States
and Canada.
