RE: *Dalianraptor cuhe* and *Sinornithosaurus haoianus* (short!)
Hi,
Did anyone get the full detailed reference for _S. haoianus_?
I mean more than this:
Liu, J., Ji, S.-a., Tang, F. & Gao, C., 2004: A new species of
dromaeosaurids from the Yixian Formation of Western Liaoning.

the source of the confusion about the specific epithet. Adding -ian- creates
an adjective, and adjectives agree with the nouns they describe (macho man

This is irrelevant, however, as the ICZN does not permit respelling a name
anymore because gender issues between epithets is incorrect or the gender
applied to an honoree is "wrong". The name is spelled consistently
throughout, and unless there was an error in the transcription or printing
or in the submitted manuscript that would require the authors to state they
intended the masculine gender. As it is, they considered the term to be
adequate to referring to a feminine gender, however incorrectly they might
be on that, and this doesn't constitute a reversible error the ICZN would
recognize it, as I read the current Rules.
