*Dalianraptor cuhe* and *Sinornithosaurus haoianus* (short!)

Thanks to everyone who sent me the pdfs.

The illustrations in both are of stunningly bad quality, so I can't say much.

*Dalianraptor* would indeed be interesting to compare with *Yandangornis* because of the beautifully preserved skull, but it lacks the extremely long legs of the latter. It looks more like *Shenzhouraptor* in general shape, and the skull is compatible with this. The wings are short, most probably too short to fly, but phalanx II-1 (not II-2, though) is at least as heavily modified as that of *Confuciusornis*!

*S. haoianus* is a largely articulated but incomplete skeleton. An arm is present but ends at the long thumb which has a big claw. The visible leg has a big sickle claw. The arm, especially the humerus, is pretty long. I can't see any particular similarities -- or lack thereof -- to *Bambiraptor* because the photos are beyond good and evil.

The honored Professor Hao is a woman; this seems to be the source of the confusion about the specific epithet. Adding -ian- creates an adjective, and adjectives agree with the nouns they describe (macho man *Sinornithosaur_us_*), not with the nouns they may be derived of.
