Yes, Zdenek was great artist, not only in paleo reconstruction work. He also 
made many wonderful paintings on various topics (tropical surroundings, western 
genre, even sci-fi). I've visited his museum in Stramberk many tmes and I'm 
still fascinated by that vast amount of work he produced during his long 
carrier (which lasted 62 years, as he produced his first remarkable painting at 
only 14 years of age). The number of all his sketches and paintings exceed 
14.000. Interesting thing is that he was one of the first people who proposed 
the idea of upright posture for dinosaurs back in 30's (when the vast majority 
of scientists still held the idea of their lizard-like stance). Burian's main 
wish was that all his originals would stay here and they are now considered our
