More then 250 mitochondria to nuclei gene transfer is know to have
occurred in plants.

Plant mitochondria and nuclei use the same genetic code: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Taxonomy/Utils/wprintgc.cgi?mode=c#SG1, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Taxonomy/Browser/wwwtax.cgi?mode=Undef&name=Arabidopsis+thaliana&lvl=0&srchmode=1

Also note that there are 3 more differences than I knew between the standard code and the vertebrate mitochondrial code: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Taxonomy/Utils/wprintgc.cgi?mode=c#SG2
