Re: Most popular/common dinosaur misconceptions

Like many of Robert's quotes, that one is well worth the repeating. Robert and Ginny did a lot of good during their lives, and are continuing to do so posthumously.

Ginny established the Heinlein Space Prize Trust a few years back. Several weeks ago in Houston, the inaugural award of $500,000 was given to Peter Diamandis (the perfect choice for first recipient). Another of her foundations provides major financial support for the public library in Butler, Missouri, Robert's home town. In a third donation, she anonymously funded the Heinlein Chair in Aerospace Engineering at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. I could go on, at some risk of becoming a bore......

As an aside, I became interested in flapping flight and then vertebrate flight because of Robert's short story, ' The Menace From Earth '.

P.S. I'm sure my response has something to do with dinosaurs, but I'm not quite sure what :-)

Reminds me of a Lazarus Long (aka Robert Heinlein) quote:

"This sad little lizard told me that he was a brontosaurus on his mother's side. I did not laugh; people who boast of ancestry often have little else to sustain them. Humoring them costs nothing and adds to happiness in a world in which happiness is always in short supply. "
