There will be ethical concerns about reviving mammoths if it can ever be 
done. I would tend to be for it especially if it is plausible to reintroduce 
them 
to the wild, although that may not be doable according to those who argue that 
the proper habitats no longer exist. 

As for reviving neanderthals no way. That would be an ethical nightmare all 
round. And this from someone who thinks the development of artificial conscious 
minds is a good idea. I don't remember the title, but awhile back Azimov did 
a short story that included the bringing of a neanderthal baby to modern times 
via a time machine and the ethical implications. Followed by the kidnapping 
of a man from feudal times which would be a criminal act. Goes to show how the 
ethical scene has changed since the story was written, much less since the 
days when bringing Inuit to New York to put them on display.
