Big day today. After years of  waiting, the digital restoration of the 1933 
"King Kong" is being released on  DVD. I should be starting to wear out my copy 
sometime this afternoon. As a  bonus, the new restoration will be shown on 
Turner Classic Movies on cable  television tonight at 9PM EST. Preceeding it at 
8PM EST is "I'm King Kong", a  new documentary on the colorful life of the 
film's producer/director, Merian C.  Cooper. DV
