The report includes a photo.

Where is it? I can only find the 2005 report, and 2002 downwards.

While the Oligocene has been cited, I can't say I've
come across a record older than Eocene.

Some taeniolabidoids or other in Asia have been said to have that age, but I don't know anything about stratigraphic correlation of that time...

I haven't heard of any adaptations for cold, but I'm not
sure if such things would show up in bones and teeth anyway.

Neither am I.
