Preserving Dino Tracks
Some friends of mine have a small museum near Canyon Lake Texas where over
300 dinosaur tracks are located. The tracks are preserved in a thin and soft
layer of limestone and are deteriorating very quickly. In an effort to do
something to stop, or at least slow down further deterioration, they have
been in touch with the folks at Paleo-Bond.
Paleo-Bond said that they have a product called Pre-Serve that supposedly
penetrates limestone 3/8" or so and provides a waterproof and transparent
bond which preserves tracks.
Have any of you heard of, or used this product?
Any other suggestions? Dr. Farlow has worked extensively on these tracks
and hopefully might have some comments??
Thanks,
George
