The centrum is the main, cylindrical part of a vertebra.  The parts of
the centrum that the "fugglefamily.com" is referring to are the "ends" of
this cylinder.  These faces can be either flat faced, concave, or convex.

what signifigance do they have? do they have any signifigance?
