cymbospondylus



thanks everyone who helped my wih platy. Am I correct to assume that the
european is the type species (by the way nobody has date and author for
platydactylus)?

anyway I go on with Cymbospondylus

species (I really haven't got a clue what the names mean this time):

C.petrinus (type) Leidy, 1868
C.asiaticus Li & You, 2002
C.buchseri, Sander,1989
C.germanicus (nomen dubium?), von Huene, 1916
C.natans (nomen dubium?) Leidy, 1868

fossil sites:

Germany
Switserland
     Monte San Giorgio
US
    Nevada
    Idaho
China
       Falang formation in Guanling, Gizhou

remains:

skulls and (there has to be more material, but I couldn't find it for now,
help welcome)

unnamed species:

C.sp. (nomen dubium) from Idaho don't know if it has been named or
synonymized yet

Missasigned species:

C.grandis ?= C.petrinus
C.nevadanus ?= C.petrinus
C.parvus ?= C.petrinus
C.piscosus ?= C.petrinus

Other names:

Blezingeria ichthyospondyla
    ?= C.germanicus (not sure at all about this)
Shastasaurus sp.
    =C.sp.
