Then again, it doesn't seem that pterosaurs or early avialans had any
nocturnal adaptations....
There was a fairly recent suggestion that anurognathids might have been
nocturnal insect-catchers, on account of their big eyes and wide mouths.
AFAIK, the notion that anurognathids caught flying insects on the wing is
not new, but the suggestion that they did so at night is.
