well, I am not certain that it is the GREATEST SF movie ever, even if Godzilla 
is what got me into professional paleontology. I plan to see it, although I 
feel that in the 45+ years since I saw first it, it might seem rather camp.

I urge everyone on-list to see this film. Do whatever you have to do. I have 
a copy of it unedited and subtitled on VHS. It is one of the greatest, if not 
the greatest, science fiction films ever made. Some of the effects shots are 
stunning in their realism(and some...aren't). Remarkable considering the film
