I forgot one very important thing. The type of snow.
Mike, since you are painting this, you'd be interested to know that the snow
that would have fallen wouldn't have been nice and light and fluffy. We are
talking wet and heavy given the temperatures involved. In fact, I'd be willing
to bet that when these cold air excursions happened, it's not just snow that
fell... more like a mixed bag of snow, sleet, and rain. In other words, it
would have been a very, very crappy day in paradise. And if it happened to get
really cold, I'm also willing to bet that you had more than one warm layer
aloft, so what fell to the ground wasn't snow flakes, but snow grains.
