I can't imagine that there was any period in which snow did not fall, the
question is how far towards the equator, and how typical of an event do you
want? I once saw it snow in the bay area of California in spring, so it would
be "accurate" to
paint animals in that climate with snow in the spring, but it wouldn't be very
typical. Alaskan and Australian Cretaceous dinosaurs would certainly have seen
snow, even if only a few times a year.
