And just a test of my basic osteology... is the jugal the "cheek horn"
thingy present in all ceratopsians?
To my knowledge, it is present in all coronosaurs, psittacosaurids,
heterodontosaurids (albeit reduced?), _Liaoceratops_, _Udanoceratops_,
_Archaeoceratops_, _Leptoceratops_, etc.
Anyone know what this _Bainoceratops_ looked like?
Hard to say, IMHO, it's only preserved from the vertebral column, a nicely
preserved vertebral column, but still... just vertebrae. I suppose it would
have been most similiar to _Udanoceratops_ and _Leptoceratops_, I am working
on putting Makovicky's (2001) phylogenetic analysis of neoceratopsians into
Nexus Data Editor and I am adding _Liaoceratops_ and _Bainoceratops_ to the
matrix as well. I'll be sure to post to the list when complete.
