Dinosauricon Phylogeny: in progress
I've begun putting together the basic phylogenetic tree for the new
Dinosauricon, a cladogram of all specimens or groups of specimens which specify
Mesozic dinosaur clades (mostly indirectly, as type specimens of species wich
are used to specify clades). (Per my provisional treatment of genera as special
stem-defined clades, all type specimens of type species of genera are also
included. A few specimens needed to flesh out the structure have also been
added as needed. And some Cenozoic specimens are listed, since they specify
clades originating in the Mesozoic, or have some other significance.)
This can be seen here:

Most clades are complete now, but I still have to address these clades in
fuller detail: _Stegosauria_, _Ankylosauroidea_, _Ornithopoda_, _Ceratopsia_,
_Macronaria_, and _Ornithothoraces_. Basal _Sauropodomorpha_ needs to be
simplified in structure, pending future studies.
Some of the clade labels are provisional. For the final version I intend to
only use clades that have been given some kind of definition in the literature,
and to follow the draft PhyloCode as much as possible.
Any corrections or suggestions are welcome, on- or off-list.
