Yates (2003) finds it to be a separate genus, more basal than Sellosaurus
and Plateosaurus.

It's virtually identical to Paronychodon, which has been said to be closely
related to Archaeopteryx (Rauhut, 2002) or(and?) Richardoestesia (Sankey,
2002).  Some sort of coelurosaur.

My studies suggest scansoriopterygids are right outside Aves, as suggested
by Zhang et al. (2002) and Czerkas and Yuan (2002).
