Evolution book in press

Ulf Diekmann, together with Michael Doebeli, H. Metz, and D. Taut, are preparing for anticipated release this year, via Cambridge University Press, The formation of biodiversity through adaptive speciation, which will be one of the seminal books of 2002 (along with Gregory Paul's work, Steve Gould's encyclopedic iterations, et al.). One of the contributions is by mathematical biologist, Sergey Gavrilets, "Theories of allopatric and parapatric speciation", a stunning revision of post-Mendelian thoughts re: species. Work on extant dinosaurs is, frankly, at a point where fresh infusions of thought are needed, and the work of Sergey Gavrilets, Stu Kaufmann, Greg Paul are pre-requisite guides for the perplexed.
