List traffic (Was: No more - Re: Does this link work for anyone?)

Or maybe it has to do with the fact that list traffic has been so
high recently. I have been on the Dinosaur List since October
1994, and I have never seen the amount of traffic witnessed in
the past year or so. I'm really passionate about dinosaurs (even
though I don't work on that group), but it is getting more and
more difficult  to keep up with 60-70 messages a day (on good
days, which are becoming more frequent it seems). I have
thought of unsubscribing more than once in the past few months,
but have refrained from doing so out of interest for the topic.
Maybe some of the folks here should show a little more restraint
when posting to the list. Some of us have lives besides this
mailing list, OK? (...he said, half seriously.)
