Let me suggest a simple answer: one important
reason for the general public's interest in dinosaurs is that many are so
incredibly big. If size is impressing you, then the first question that
will come to you is 'Which is he biggest?'
Same thing with the huge predators. If you're
impressed with how vicious an animal looks, the first question that will
come to you is 'Which is the toughest?'
Of course, as adults, we don't want to admit to
being so awestruck, so we find the next question. Kind of nice for many
people if someone answers the kids' question, though.
