Posterior abdominal wall

Hello!

It seems to be generally thought that the pubes of theropods supported the contents of the abdominal cavity. Is it thought that a membrane of some kind stretched between the pubic bones? Is this kind of membrane present in any living animals? Would this membrane have attached to the anteriormost edge of the pubes, or where?

Thanks in advance,
