Re: JP III Musings
Given the complaints I've heard about the incredibly high raptor
intelligence in the movie, I can't help but think about the prescience of
the late, great TV program "The Critic" (ca. 1994) when it presented
"Jurassic Park II: Revenge of the Raptor." A scene:
("Raptors" attack little girl, she traps one in a closet)
Jeff Goldblum character: "You can't trap a raptor in a closet, they're too
smart!"
(Raptor claws shove a newspaper under the door, then the raptor shakes the
key out of the doorknob, pulls the paper back under, and unlocks the door)
Raptor: "Raaargh!"
Hammond: "You may have us, but you'll never get off the island!"
Raptor (in British accent): "Oh, I beg to differ. You see, the other
raptors and I have begun constructing a crude suspension bridge to
Venezuela. Once there, I will lie low and assume odd jobs under the name
Mr. Pilkington. But perhaps I've said too much..." (chuckles evilly while
smoking a pipe).
