This may put me at odds with some of the other reviews on the list, but I
think JPIII is the best JP so far.  Let me qualify that: The first JP had an
element of suprise oweing not just to its status as the first of its series,
but also fortuitously being on the bleeding edge of special effects.  For
that reason, the visceral reaction of "oohing" and "ahhing" cannot be
matched by its sequels.  Put if you put that aside, I honestly feel that JP3
was a better movie.  It is funnier, and the characters are more compelling
than the original.  It also serves up lots of those edge-of-your-seat
momments that JP viewers expect.  It isn't a classic, but it is a lot of
fun.
    I'm sure other list members have already highlighted the anatomical
problems, so let me instead merely point out that Dr. Grant's statement that
"raptors were smarter than dolphins, smarter than whales, smarter
than...primates" seems even more impressive, coming as it does from a
primate.  Ah well, I guess he isn't a mammal paleontologist.
