Er... tell that to John Hutchinson.  He says T. rex probably didn't have an
aerial phase, so that kinda rules out running at all (although trotting or
powerwalking is certainly not out of the question):

Also, T. rex being a terrestrial scavenger is far from "impossible."  Would
it have been any more likely than a lion or hyena to turn its nose up at a
dead hadrosaur buffet?  If you mean "pure" scavenger... is there such a
thing?
