Re: Amargasaurus...
As far as the spines of _Amargasaurus_ goes, what of the idea that perhaps
they were clattered noisily together to fend off attackers or to somehow
comminicate with other members of the species. I think I remember reading
something along those lines in the _Scientific American Book of Dinosaurs_.
An interesting idea, methinks.
