Solnhofen redux

I have a small problem: I will be visiting Germany this summer (no, that's not 
a problem at all!), and I am trying to convince my family that a quick side 
trip to Solnhofen would not be too far. However, looking through as many maps 
as I can find on the Internet and in some tourist guides to Germany, I can 
narrow down Solnhofen's location to Bavaria, south-southeast of Nurnburg, 
west-southwest of Regensburg, and north-northwest of Munchen. We will be 
traveling the "romantic road" from Fussen to Frankfort AR; am I correct? Is 
Solnhofen only a quick trip? Does anyone know how I can find Solnhofen's 
location?
