I would recomend the following books.

Frickhinger, K. A., 1994, Die Fossilien von . The Fossils of Solnhofen:

And the following (which I think is out of print).

Kuhn, Oskar, 1977. Die Tierwelt des Solnhofener Schiefers. Die Neue
Brehm-Bucherei: 140pp.

Also, in Archaeopteryx

Viohl, G., 1998, Die Solnhofener Plattenkalk - Entstehung und Lebensraume:
Archaeopteryx, v. 16, p. 37-68.

It's in German, but it covers all the environments of the Solnhofen.
