solnhofen

Hello dear listmembers,

I have a few questions for all those willing to answer.
How would you describe a normal day in Solnhofen during the lifetime of
Archeopteryx? What would you see? The kind of information I am looking for is:
- what kind of plants? Size? Solitairy or in groups?
- sunny atmosphere with lots of moisture or just damn hot?
- what kind of animals? Size?
- lot's of insects around or not?
- what kind of rocks: sandstone/granite/etc?
- would there be lots of small lakes/ponds or do you envision more little
streams? Is the water stagnant or does it flow fast? Are these waters deep? Is
this water murky or clear?

I know that this is a lot to ask. I already have some information, but as we
all know, no library is complete enough. I would be gratefull to anyone who
would take the time to send me their version of 'a day in the world of
Archie'. Also any url where I
can find some artwork of this period in time, description of plants/animals,
pictures are apriciated. Please send all information to me offline. Although if
you think your information should also be shared online: by all means ofcourse.
Hoping for lot's of responses,
