Hyenas and Small-Medium Predators

Just a quick question, and I guess maybe semi off-topic, but I was wondering 
how many types of Hyenas (or other medium size predators that I might be 
forgetting) are present in the savanah of Africa. I can only think of the 
laughing hyena and maybe some kind of monitor lizard (hazy memory). I know 
there are a number of big cats, but they are big, and I'm more interested in 
the fox-jackel sized predators. Anyways, thanks alot in advance.
P.S. _Eoraptor_ has 4 premax teeth, doesn't it?
