Re: Kammsaurier
>>>As a German, I feel for once competent to say something about this:
Indeed "kamm" means "comb" or "ridge". However, I am quite sure that
Kammsaurier does NOT refer to Lambeosarids, but rather to Pelycosaurs like
Dimetrodon and Edaphosaurus.

At last a word form the German on the issue.
However, in the German literature I have Pelycosaurs are referred to as -
die Pelycosaurier oder _Segelrückenechen_ (SEGEL - sail on their back) waren
langrumpfige Synapsiden. On the other hand hadroasurs - lambeosaurs:
Hadrosaurier - Unterfamilien Lambeosaurinae (Duck-bill dinosaurs =
Entenschnabel-Dinosaurier) mit Knochenkämmen (KAMM) auf den Kopf ( with
bony crests on their heads).
