there was an accompanying skeletal restoration with the New York Times
announcement of the discovery of Mononychus (sic)
that was attributed to "Micheal Rothman; The American Museum of Natural
History" but I don't know what other publications it may have been in
before or since (I xeroxed part of the article but have no date on it). 
There are some rather lovely Archeopteryx sketches that accompany it in
the article, quite the nicest reconstructions I've seen.
