Diatrymids ( Gastrornithiformes ) have been bumped around
systematically for the last century. Many people allied them with the
Gruiformes ( cranes ) and even seriemas. These views are falling out of
favor and an Anseriformes ( ducks ) connection is seeming more an more
likely.
