Well, if they're from birds, sure!

However, I do not know of any site where non-avian dinos are found
stratigraphically higher than humans.  Topographically higher, sure: there
are human remains found below sea level (in ship wrecks), and some dinosaurs
have been found in Tibet, but I don't think that's what your teacher was
talking about...
