Birds are found at the same levels as hominids, so in the strictest sense
this is true. But I suspect your teacher is referring to nonavian
dinosaurs, and in this case he or she is absolutely wrong.
I suspect he/she has heard about the alleged human footprints, teeth, and
other parts from the Cretaceous of North Texas. You should be aware that
even the Institute for Creation Research - one of the big creationist
groups out there - no longer regards them as human, and several creationist
groups have disavowed themselves of Carl Baugh, the person currently
touting this nonsense as evidence.
