That's BULLSHIT!
Sounds like a scam brewing.
The Smithsonian does not have any Acrocanthosaurs material (except some
Maryland stuff that I collected) let alone this specimen. Nor did the Gov
confiscate the original. It was owned by GEI in who had the BHI prep the
beast. Dale Russell's gang have purchased the original skeleton. Ken
Carpeneter and Phil Currie are describing it .No underhanded dealings there so
beware of whomever is making such false accusations.
In fact I have seen the GEI cast of the skull, which was on dispaly at GEI's
office in Ardmore Ok. (the skeleton cast was out on loan to a buyer according
to the Graffhams), last summer and spoke with the OWNERS of the original at
length who did not mention ANYTHING like this when Mr. Graffham told me the
story of how it was found, and who found it etc. Shurely, if BIg Brother had
stepped in, they would have told us!
A second cast wast at the Dinofest and a third was at the Philly Museum and on
display at the Dinofeast.
Caveat emptor!
