Re: Dinofest Get-together?

We tried to set up a time to meet dinolist members.  As it has turned out,
we've had more interest in it as we approach the Symposium (2 days to go).
I am willing to meet with people, but we have to be aware of the schedules
of all.

    The symposium starts at 8:00AM Friday and does until 4:40 PM (5:30 PM
for the Education Symposium broadcast).   Then Stephen Jay Gould speaks at
8:00 PM that night.  (It looks like people can get together from 5:30PM
until 8:00PM - [personally - I keep Kosher for Passover [one of the few
holidays that I fully observe] - which ends Saturday evening - so I can't
eat with everyone then).  Whenever his speech ends, there is the additional
possibility of meeting.

    On Saturday, the Symposium starts at 8:15AM and goes to  4:40PM.  The
DinoFeast starts at 6:00 PM at the Academy of Natural Sciences and probably
lasts until 8:30PM.  (I haven't yet decided whether I'll spring for the
$60.00).  A meeting time could be set up after DinoFeast).

    Also, Lunch is scheduled for 12:00 Noon to 1:00PM on Friday and
Saturday.

    Sunday's sessions start at 8:15AM and end at 12:00 Noon.  I originally
suggested that we schedule to meet then, say under "Nancy" the _Nurosaurus_,
but it was pointed out to me that most people would be checking out of their
hotels and getting on the road around then.

    Oh, well - I figure, we'll run into each other anyway - I don't know if
all symposium attendees will have name badges - I suppose all the presenters
will.  (That should take care of at least one third of the dinolist members
:-)     ).

    If anyone would like to try to set up times to meet, please post
quickly - I don't think there will be a bulletin board at the symposium (I
could be wrong).

    The symposium will be on the ground level floor of the center, DinoFest
itself is taking place on the first basement level.  (This uses the front
door (North side) as a reference for the ground level - note that the
basement level is ground level on the West side, but you can't enter there).

    By the way, symposium attendees will be allowed to go out for lunch,
etc. and to return.
