And how do you know this?
We know embarassingly  little about intelligence and Brain capacity in extant
animals ,how do we know what is intelligent for a dinosaur?
not to mention the fesability of comparing dinosaurs to Mammals  (big
difference). 

Youre trying to falsify assumptions  with assumptions,  just because you
consider them probable does'nt  mean they are the reality. 
The reality Is ,  we do not know,  nor do we have enough conclusive evidence
to fully support  either hypothesis.   And It is , by no means  Absurd to
fully and open mindedly examine all of the possibilities , unless you wish to
ignore their possible implications.
