Some time ago (couple of days, it's been a wierd week) I posted
a news story taken from the Reuters' wire service regarding
Dinosaurs and Cancer. Since then, I've gotten several replies
(some copied to the list, some not) taking me personally to task
for the scientific merit of the content.

Gentlemen, not to put too fine a point on it, did you not notice
that this was a newswire story which I had NOTHING TO DO WITH WRITING.

I don't mind if someone discusses a newswire story I post; I
post them to get your opinions and reactions. But I've gotten a little
tired of messages berating my lack of intelligence for 'saying' such
things as some British newswire writer chose to say.

Sorry to take it personally, but some of the replies were frankly
pretty darn personal.--Steve C
